I have spent a majority of my career as a registered dental hygienist. When my oldest child experienced health issues, I learned about something called Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy. This therapy helps clients manage and change noxious oral habits like tongue thrusting or gagging with eating, even tongue positions that cause sleep apnea concerns. After advanced education in 2019 I became a myofunctional therapist. After learning about the habits, I became curious about how all this happens which led me to learn about lactation and how the mouth and tongue function after birth. In 2023, I became an International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant. I hope to take all my years in the field of dentistry and with my education in myofunctional therapy, early childhood development, and lactation consulting I can help people become a healthier version of themselves.
